Our family’s
historic legacy
Oia flourished in the late 19th & 20th centuries due to its powerful merchant fleet and mariner families, including ours, one of the few mariner families of Oia with a rich history in sailing and trade, who owned sailing ships and transported goods throughout Europe. Villa Historia has been in our family for generations and this heritage reflects a preserved neoclassical architecture of our home, combined with our rich maritime tradition.
